This is a nice development even for those of us not using SUSE -- I like Btrfs, I'm looking forward to using it, but I won't trust it with my own data until it's been dubbed "production ready" and used that way in the wild for several years. Glad the clock's started ticking for Btrfs on a major distro.

Same here. There are some kinds of software I'm not comfortable experimenting with - or at least not experimenting with using valuable data.
