I always believed the Raspberries, Arduinos, etc weren't suitable for large-scale industrial applications.

Yes. I've seen at least one large HVAC controller (think the massive metal boxes on top of buildings) that ran on an RPi Compute module.


Yes. That is why they thinned things down with the compute module form factors.
