You seem to be quite unhappy with it. Why do you use it at all? There are plenty of programming domains where other systems rule.

Not by choice. I do sometimes have to use it at work as MacBooks is what they provide. Luckily, I didn't need to use a macOS machine for a couple of months now thanks to lockdown and us being allowed to use own hardware at home.
