Vote for whom? The political establishment is locking out an entire generation of younger politicians too.
Asking those who have only been able to vote for a few years to have solved the problems, in a system where power is gained only through the accumulation of decades of experience, is, well blaming the victims.
The greed of older generations, their lack of compassion and understanding, and their narcissism are all to blame.
Young people are entering a system built by others with the ladders already pulled up. Violent revolution is the only way they could have changed the system in a short time, and nobody wants that.
The entire job market and economy is dismal in Canada. Unless you are working for the Gov, you're kind of fucked. New grads have few opportunities, many try to find meaningful work in the US or abroad. Does anyone actually take this announcement seriously?
It's just a nice story....
>The government expects the strategy to increase the country's gross domestic product by 3%, unlocking nearly C$200 billion as commercialization and use of AI in key sectors increases labor productivity.
More layoffs through adoption of AI to replace jobs.
>Canada will establish a C$500 million Canadian Tech Growth Fund to help close the capital gap at Canadian AI companies versus U.S. tech giants.
500 million? Google et al spend that in a day.
>The government will use a C$500 million initiative from the Business Development Bank of Canada to finance access to AI tools for Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises.
The hoops you will have to jump through for access will make it entirely not worth it.
Perfect opportunity for another joint partnership between TSMC and Apple in America, also a perfect opportunity for Intel unless they want to continue to make excuses.
Mine did not age well. Had problems with the WiFi card crashing routers (killer Wifi). Developed issues with heat which caused problems with stability, video hardware has had all kinds of issues with heat also, can't play Youtube videos at anything over 480p without screen going nuts. Yeah, it still works and is about 6-7 years old but the problems started within 2 years of buying it brand new. Meanwhile I have an old Asus Laptop from 2012 running Win10 still going strong.Same goes for my IBM T420 running Linux. Does all the email, video, office stuff I need it to do effortlessly and just won't die. I replaced the HD with an SSD and added 4 gig of mem back in the day. Will never buy another Dell machine, they make junk.
Who can blame him, 1000's of Americans are looking for a plan b, it's good to have options especially for younger folks who have their entire lives ahead of them. If you can acquire citizenship in Canada or the EU, why not....
Sounds like he was most likely involved in some serious shit that was off the books and somehow it came to light. His boss is probably aware of what it was but no one will admit shit. It went awry and he is left holding the bag.
Gold and money for an operation that could have been to anything from funding armed rebellion to god only knows.
$40m+ in an expense account based in gold bars is absolutely crazy. CIA agents must have access to untold resources if this is seen as a somewhat regular 4 month spend. Seems it is, given that they seemingly weren't concerned about the $40+ million being taken out, but where it was being held.
I'm imagining its like the Continental Hotel in John Wick. Everything you need to fund and arm an insurgency, checking it out from facilities like I might with an AV adapter.
Or, someone decided they wanted to redirect the flow of black money through someone else, but couldn't do it internally for some reason; so they called in their FBI friends to make a ruckus. While the guy is busy defending himself, they have an excuse to pick someone else to receive the new stream of gold.
What does a commercial backlog have to do with an aircraft for military purposes? I'm sure there is a different lane for military aircraft. Anyone ordering an aircraft for military purposes is not going to sit on the same waiting list as a commercial airline.
Canada is aligning itself with it's European Allies. Several EU NATO members have chosen the same aircraft over Boeing.
