Yes, thanks. It was confusing me for a second because no, no almost one is terminating twinax in the server room.

I had IT company recommend to me a bunch of fiber cables for a cleanup I was doing. They had about 20 or 30 laser modules we would need, and however much fiber.

When they asked why I planned on doing copper, I told him because each run is three fucking feet.

I’m not sure if they just didn’t realize that’s not what fiber is for or they didn’t know that DAC existed.

Many people don’t know about DAC. Like the comment above I think they see the word copper and assume it means the twisted pair they’re familiar with.

There's also a common misconception that copper means slow. Because when you have internet from a copper cable in the US, it usually sucks.

I’m apparently a heartless monster or something, but that elicited less than zero for me. I wanted it to end because the squeeky annoying voice and over the top cuteness was for effect.

I’m happy for you that you felt that was dark. Well, IDK, maybe I’m happy for you, hard to say.

Yes, I wish I had $650k to blow on an electric car, and it’s not that I can objectively define this as bad. I’m just sour I can’t have it.

We all have eyes, bro.

>Kinda telling that the video doesn't show the front up to the very last moment.

I actually chuckled when I saw the whole vehicle.

Influencer with access is always going to say the thing that will keep them that access. We moved away from writers and magazines, right back to the same stupid shit.

It’s a silly car; and their UI on the screen and app are terrible.

He did say it was a silly car, no?

Look at their app.

It looks like trash.

I don’t understand how why they showed that along with an entire car.

Who the hell keeps deciding that apps for vehicles need a top down status view of the vehicle that dominates 75% of the screen for no reason at all!?

I was selling a GPU on Facebook marketplace during covid.

The description was that the card was good for gaming or “turning dinosaurs into clean money”.

I sold a rifle legally on an online auction site. The buyer was offered to pay with PayPal they were given the option to use. The buyer took that option, making me break PayPal TOS.

Banned from Venmo, absolutely no idea why. SO banned from Venmo, absolutely no idea why.

Fuck. Big. Tech.

Prior to 2013 or after? Maybe they merged ban lists with PayPal (who owns them).

even though it was a joke, what you did looked like money laundering.

which probably triggered a SAR

which companies are legally forbidden from disclosing https://www.finra.org/arbitration-mediation/rules-case-resou...

It's because Venmo is owned by PayPal

It’s not though.

All three of those events were separated by at least a year each long after PayPal bought Venmo.

I’ll miss when em dashes were a key giveaway. This generation of LLM has one sure fire tell.

We’ll look back on 2026 AIs fondly.

> Yes and people who use [AI] for dominating industries and markets

Uh, who?

Smoke of course; but did you find fire?

I’m not going to be contented until I can get Ja’s take on if LLMs even have the slightest potential to be an engine behind artificial general intelligence. Or that they definitely won’t be but the ideas that will come from layering and transformers will be vital for example.
